Our story began when we were three years old. Our older brothers played on the same hockey team, and at the rink, Cam tried to befriend Lindsay. However, Lindsay was too preoccupied with her art supplies, which she wasn’t keen on sharing, even with a charming three-year-old boy.

Years later, we crossed paths again at Florenceville Middle School and Carleton North High School. While we didn’t date back then, we often noticed each other.

​

After our first year of university—Lindsay at Carleton and Cam at STFX—we both returned to Florenceville-Bristol for the summer. Neither of us planned on attending a local pit party, but we heard the other might be there. We were delighted to reconnect, and that summer, our romance began.

​

In the fall of 2016, Cam joined Lindsay in Ottawa at Carleton University, where he pursued engineering (or perhaps a growing love interest?). Together, we explored the city, shared new experiences, and supported each other through our studies and careers.

​

In 2019, we welcomed our furry friend, Grover, into our lives. The pandemic brought us even closer, creating meaningful memories like spending two weeks quarantining at a cozy cottage during Christmas and cherishing time with family.

​

On a chilly February day in 2023, while hiking in Quebec with Grover, Cam proposed against the backdrop of an icy waterfall.

​

As we begin this new chapter, we treasure our journey and look forward to a lifetime of adventures together. We have made Ottawa our home over the past 8-9 years and cannot wait to share it with our dearest family and friends as we celebrate our love on October 12, 2024.
